Rotational internship - I was rotated to four different departments in Swift. Great opportunities to learn
What I wish was different
More official training. A lot of the training was "sit with this person and do what they do" which I felt wasn't very effective.
Advice
Great internship! Great people. Competitive pay for college intern.

What I liked
Rotation between 3 departments (one month each) which brought a lot of well rounded skills and knowledge.
What I wish was different
I actually was rotated 5 times and that was probably too many.

What I liked
Swift Transportation had an excellent summer internship program! I enjoyed rotating through different job positions and gaining a broader understanding of the complexity and importance of supply chain.
What I wish was different
I wish I could've helped on more projects and business deals with Swift's customers.
Advice
Supply chain and logistics are fast-paced and non-stop. If you are looking for growth and new opportunities every day you should definitely look into supply chain and logistics!
