August - December 2017 • Riverton, UT

Zone Leader

June 2016 • Fort Lauderdale, FL

What I liked

I loved dedicating all of my time and effort to seeking opportunities to serve others, to teach them what has brought peace and happiness into my life, and to learn so much from the cultural diversity that exists in south Florida. In two years I became fluent in Spanish, I made lifelong relationships, and I gained more life experience than any amount of time I have spent in schooling or work.

What I wish was different

I wish I had dedicated and applied myself even more than I did. Even with all that I learned there were thousands of opportunities that I could have learned from.

Advice

There is nothing more rewarding than losing yourself in selfless service to others in need.

Project Management Intern

April - August 2018 • Riverton, UT

What I liked

The people there are amazing. They all like to make sure you feel that you made a difference, even in a short, summer internship. They include you on many different projects, giving you opportunities to learn a lot.

What I wish was different

The project I was hired to work on had been cancelled shortly before I arrived there, so I didn't have a lot to do, especially at first. I wish there had been one or two major projects for me to work on the entire summer.

Advice

Get in contact with your supervisor before you get there, at least a "hello".
