What I liked
Great community with flexible schedules for students. I am getting good work experience while continuing my education.
What I wish was different
40 hour weeks while also doing classes was rough but manageable. Having the option to do less hours per week if needed would have been nice.
Advice
Get a job in your field! Getting a job at SDL has reaffirmed my choice in my major. I'm excited to finish school.

SDL is very accommodating to student schedules, and can provide valuable engineering experience rarely offered to undergraduates.

Attend the lunch-and-learn seminars as often as possible. They are open to SDL employees only, and are an excellent way to become aware of the many disciplines and areas of expertise in engineering.

What I liked
There were many opportunities to have exposure in different areas. I could work on my own without being micromanaged. I participated in a couple real projects that I can apply to my resume and coursework.
What I wish was different
I would've enjoyed more involvement from management. Sometimes it felt like I didn't have anything to do, but that didn't last for long.
